SCOLIOSIS THERAPY Vienna

Specialized scoliosis therapy and early detection for children, adolescents & adults

GOAL OF SCOLIOSIS THERAPY in Vienna

Scoliosis is a complex spinal curvature and/or twisting that often leads to visible poor posture. If left untreated, it can cause chronic, sometimes severe back pain and significant limitations in mobility.

As an experienced specialist in scoliosis therapy in Vienna, I tailor each treatment to the type and severity of the scoliosis. My goal: to halt the progression of the misalignment or, in severe cases, correct it through surgery.

Especially in children and adolescents before growth has finished, early, non-surgical scoliosis treatment can achieve excellent and lasting results. In adults, the focus is on alleviating existing symptoms – here, I offer a comprehensive range of therapies to provide individualized and effective support.

Scoliosis early detection brochure

Together with Daniela Hohenwarter, founder of the Scoliosis Network Austria, I have developed a free information brochure on early detection of scoliosis.

The aim of this brochure is to provide parents, doctors and therapists with practical information and clear guidance – from the first signs through diagnosis to possible treatment options.

Particularly important: the earlier scoliosis is detected, the more successful the treatment will be.

Please support the Scoliosis Network Austria with a donation or membership to continue this valuable work.

Scoliosis therapy – treatment according to the degree of curvature

  • less than 10° & scoliotic curvature: 1 - 2 x annual check-up
  • 10° to 20°: Physiotherapy
  • 20° to 45°: corset/girdle and physiotherapy
  • over 45°: operation

Note: Regular check-ups are crucial to prevent the progression of scoliosis. Exercise and physical activity alone are not enough to stop scoliosis—but they should always be part of a targeted, scoliosis-specific therapy.
